I graduated from Appalachian High School in 1992. After serving as my church's Children's Director for a few years, I realized that I wanted to teach children full time. When my youngest son went to kindergarten, I went back to college. I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in the Fall of 2008.

My name is Christi Thompson. I have been married to my husband Michael for 23 years. We have two sons- Kyle and Trent. Kyle graduated from Springville High School in 2012, and graduated from UAB in May with a degree in Nuclear Medicine. Trent is currently a Senior at Springville High School. We live on a farm in Oneonta, in the community of Straight Mountain. We have a few "fur and feather babies": two golden retreivers- Sadie and Samson, three cats- Catherine, Corey, and Callie, three horses- Shotgun, Rose, and Bullet, and two ducks. If I ever have any free time it is usually spent reading or spending time with my family. I absolutely love being a teacher and I am thankful that God has given me the opportunity to impact a child's life in a positive way every day. What a gift!
